*This blog post was written when I studied abroad in Granada in 2009. Though it is certainly not up to the quality of the articles I currently write, I didn’t want to lose the humble beginnings of this blog (at the time called European Escapades). Bear this in mind, and check back, as I plan to write more informative posts with photographs about many of the places I visited while studying abroad.*
In 38 hours my plane will take of from Buffalo and I will begin my European adventures! I am so excited, but am completely overwhelmed with packing. So far I have packed all but one stack of clothes, 4 pairs of shoes, and random miscellaneous items. Also, I’m really impressed that I just spelled miscellaneous correctly on the first try! Anyway, tomorrow will be full of even more packing and running around. I still have to do one last small load of laundry, pack that, the rest of my shoes, jackets and electronics and other random things. Then I have to get an electricity converter that will work for my computer, and pick up the plate that I painted for my host family. I’m so ready to go, but I already miss Rochester and all of my friends soooo much. I can’t help but think about all the things I will miss fall semester… leaves changing, Yellowjacket weekend, Mel weekend, performances, comedians, speakers, Radiance, and not to mention partying with my loversss and living in our glorious suite, but obviously I know Spain will bring so many new and exciting adventures, so I’m trying to get over the fact that I’m missing 1/8 of my life at Rochester.
